If you have a paypal account which you havent used for a while, and have a 1 cent balance which you are thinking of donating either to a charity or individual, then you should be aware that there is a minimum paypal value that can be sent, and it is greater than $0.01!

This means that you can't donate one cent by paypal. While I'm not sure what the costs associated with sending money via paypal is, I'm sure it is greater than 1 cent, so it will be un-economical to even process this small amount of money, so if you have $0.01 in your account there isn't much you can do with it, except leave it in there! Unfortunately you can't invest the penny cent either so that option is not available either, the only person that benefits from the money is the company share holders, cause if you considered the number of paypal accounts worldwide with those small cent balances which the owners have abandoned, it would add up to a fair amount on which the company is acuring interest and this would add up to a fair number of dollars.

I would love to donate my one cent paypal balance, but for the time being I don't have any ideas!

The global finiancial crisis problems has seen a reduction in many countries bank lending interest rates, as part of the many measures being tried worldwide to jump start local economies and avoid a meltdown.

The US goverment has poured billions of dollars into banks, the motor industry, and still the end is not in sight!

Many homes are still being fore-closed, families are wondering if they are going to be the next on the list especialy with jobs being lost left, right and centre. Some people are trying Private Home Sales in a bid to prevent being forced out by creditors, but there are no buyers that are willing to pay a high price that might save them from losing out.

So what is the cause of all this economic doom? The experts will have various reasons, but I'm sure that if they knew the cause, then the governments might have a solution, but there doesn't seem to be any at the moment.

With the American elections just round the corner, the US dollar has been gaining strength in the global financial markets with cents being added almost daiy, especially over the British pound, where once the rate of exchange was 2 dollars to the pound!

Someone told me while on holiday in august 2008, that now was the best time to buy investments in the US, and get a better return for my money because the dollar would rally round in value and grow stronger after the US elections.

With credit crunch survival high on my list, I took the advice and saw an increase in my portfolio at the end of october 2008. It was more than 50 cent investments.

Credit Crunch takes hold

In a previous 50 cent post, I mentioned that you should invest your cent, 50 cent, dime or dollar in someone else's future because not all bank investments yield the best returns, and you never know how someone you help today might turn out tomorrow! Also because you have a couple of hundred thousand dollars in your bank account which is making you and your bank manager happy doesn't mean that your financial future is secure.

The credit crunch and the recent failure of the global investment bank Lehman brothers just goes to show that things can change suddenly for anyone. You might be in a position today to help someone with 50 cent, a dollar or even just spend some time with them, why not do that good deed today, as tomorrow is a day that you can never predit.

Don't donate a cent to me, as many people think this is an internet scam, but there is someone closer to you who you could help, if you pay it forward, the world would be a better place, and maybe we wouldn't even have a bad global economy or credit crunch 50 cent?

50 Cent on the Line

This is not necessarily a blog about getting money from strangers, it's not about $0.01, 50 cent or even a dollar, nor is it about surviving the credit crunch by trying to scam people out of their money.

This is about testing the human nature, about investing in someone else's future rather than enlarging your personal bank or lying down at night and counting dollars and cents.

As i've mentioned over the past few days, I'm only asking for one cent, not 50 cents, and I only want you to donate $0.01 once in your lifetime.

I appreciate the value of one cent

How many people would you give a cent to and they would really be thankful for the coin? Well I'm someone who could do with that small amount of money.

One Cent on Sunday

Could you please give me a cent this sunday, because many of you will be giving some money away in church today, I don't want a dollar bill, a quater coin, all I ask for is one little cent.

You can afford a cent

I would like you to give me one cent because you can afford to part with the coin, and that amount of money will not buy you anything in the economic recession of nowadays, so why not invest $0.01 in someone who would very grateful for the gift.

As part of your saturday clean up job paid or not, just go to your sofa dig within the corners, you will come up with a one cent coin, it doesn't have to be in mint condition fresh from the bank, it just has to be legal tender, and I'll accept it with gratitude.

50 Cent to a Stranger

One or 50 cent is a social experiment as well as an attempt by me to make some money online in 365 days, and you can help me by linking to my blog.
